Breakthrough Bleeding Double Up Until Stops

Witches Abroad by Terry Pratchett. The collection

When I'm a little stressed, I need a good tea, and immerse myself in a book ever loved. This is my way of reassuring me.
So now, I return to delight with Terry Pratchett. Terry Pratchett is one of my favorite authors in recent years, and as a writer is that I share with my dear husband is a little more substantial. Because what's more enjoyable than talking literature with someone else?

Witches Abroad is the twelfth book of the annals of the world drives.
If you are a stranger to those famous annals, I make you a concise presentation. The world is a hard flat world, supported by four elephants, themselves perched on the back of a turtle, the A-Tuin, who runs the immensity without knowing really where it goes. The world record is an array of characters, which are found from time to time, which sometimes come together, meet, clash, but whose adventures can generally be read independently. It usually crosses the Magi, officers of the watch (Ank Morpok Police, the principal town of the book is a character by itself), vampires, werewolves, witches, guilds of thieves, beggars, murderers, gods sometimes ... What a program!

So here we follow the adventures of my favorite small, witches (their second adventure, although one of them already appeared in solo adventures). Ah, do not expect sexy witches. Esmeralda Weatherwax, aka Granny Weatherwax is the chieftain of this unusual trio. She has a steely gaze, and is adept at tétologie. (Basically it will return the brain in no time and would eat a steak at a vegetarian.) Nanny Ogg is a witch married, which is extremely rare, and directs an iron fist a household full of beautiful girls who can be exploited at will (she also likes to make allusions bold). And the last Magrat Garlick, a little eccentric, clueless as a young witch, a follower of unnecessary accessories and seeks its place in the shadow of these two old with a fiery temperament.

In this novel, Magrat comes to inherit a good fairy wand, and is assigned the task to help her "protected" at the other end of the world, somewhere in a town called Genua. And as it inherits the witch was cunning, it made it clear she did not want Grandma and Nanny get involved. Inevitably, the two old entering the dance. And they're off, riding brooms, ready to conquer the world!

the program, a parody of fairy tales, with a wand that turns everything into a pumpkin, we came across the wicked wolf and Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella (braisillon!), A prince who is transformed a toad in humans and has kept a few things of his former appearance, a voodoo witch who reads the future in the gumbo, references everywhere (airplanes, "Sorci-air service" to Tolkien, with a small passage in homage to Gollum, or a zombie called Saturday and was Baron ...), a clash between two opposite, magic, desperate situations ...

is fiercely funny, the characters are great as they are stubborn, full of faults and devilishly charming.

I think I could give you a list of three kilometers on why he should read this novel, but I'll stop there!

What I like about Pratchett, in general, there is at times little things that only the happy fews can understand. Small details that make you tilt, call your general knowledge or bookish, and make you feel gifted to have found the reference! (It is always nice not to feel grown?)
